If you are thinking about a career in the Hairdressing industry, whether that be working in a salon, on a cruise ship or even to become your own boss, then this could be the perfect course for you!
– Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
-Unit 201 Style and finish hair
-Unit 202 Set and dress hair
-Unit 203 Cut hair using basic techniques
-Unit 204 Colour and lighten hair
-Unit 205 Advise and consult with clients
-Unit 206 Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
-Unit 210 Plait and twist hair
-Unit 207 Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
Hairdressing is taught one day per week over an academic year, September-June
9:30am – 3:30pm during the Wakefield district school term time.
On completion of the course you will gain a full NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing certified by City and Guilds.
You could then progress onto our NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing to expand and develop your knowledge and existing skills. This will enable you to offer more for your clients and improve your desirability for employment.
