Depilatory Waxing

Course

A one-day waxing course designed as an introduction to this popular and highly profitable salon treatment. The course consists of a theory session with full practical assessment. Emphasis is put on the ability of the therapist to perform a confident and competent wax treatment. You will learn the techniques of warm waxing and the basic theory of hot film waxing.

The course covers:

• Introduction to waxing
• Health & Safety
• Preparation and general practice
• Anatomy and physiology of the hair and skin
• Product information
• Equipment demonstration
• Application and removal of wax
• Theory test

The Requirements

Students attending must dress professionally, salon wear if possible, with long hair tied back.

It is preferred that the students have already some form of client care history but not essential. If you would like to gain experience prior to starting the course you can book a one unit course that will count towards the NVQ. Prices available upon enquiry.

Models are required to arrive at 1pm.
